Selena Gomez Lists Encino Mansion for $6.5 Million—After Buying $35 Million Marital Home With Husband Benny Blanco

Pop star Selena Gomez is preparing to bid farewell to her former bachelorette pad, listing the sprawling Encino abode for $6.49 million, just six months after she tied the knot with her husband, Benny Blanco.

The 33-year-old singer and actress purchased the six-bedroom, 8.5-bathroom dwelling for $4.89 million in 2020, around three years before she began dating Blanco, 38, whom she wed in September 2025.

However, after she and her husband snapped up a new, much larger Beverly Hills dwelling for $35 million in February 2025, it seems Gomez no longer has a need for her Encino abode, which spans nearly 11,500 square feet and sits on just under an acre.

Interestingly, Gomez's ownership of the dwelling is mentioned in the listing—which also notes that the property was formerly home to another music legend, Tom Petty, who had the home custom built in 1989 and owned it until 2017, when it was sold just a few months before his death.

Before Gomez purchased the property six years ago, it underwent a meticulous renovation and is now described as a "private celebrity compound" that "evokes a magical vision of romance, inspiration, and tranquility."

However, what she didn't reveal at the time was that she and Blanco had just closed on a stunning seven-bedroom, 12-bathroom dwelling, which they purchased on Dec. 4, according to records seen by Realtor.com®.

The property actually comprises two lots that are home to an expansive main residence and two separate guesthouses—one of which boasts its own studio, while the other houses a home theater.

Prior to being purchased by Gomez and Blanco, the property was owned by a famous Hollywood director, according to TMZ, which first reported the news of the sale.

When the singer and her fiancé bought the home, it marked one of the priciest sales in the area in 2024.

The Spanish-inspired, opulent pad features a spiral staircase and library. Outside the mansion, there is a fitness center, pool, and a glass greenhouse solarium, which is a nod to Blanco's green thumb; the singer has been known to use his garden to give back to the community.

The property is surrounded by lush landscaping and features sophisticated stone flooring encompassing the pool.

Gomez and Blanco purchased the property in an off-market deal that was carried out via an LLC that is associated with the music producer's business manager.

The property was last sold in August 2021, when it was picked up for $30.7 million.
