Rhode Island Wedding Planner Insists Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce Are Not Tying the Knot at Iconic Ocean House Hotel: ‘Not My Bride!’

by Kelsi Karruli

A wedding planner has shut down rumors that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are planning to tie the knot at a popular Rhode Island resort—insisting that, while she is organizing a ceremony at the venue on the couple's rumored June 13 date, the bride in question is not the chart-topping pop star.

For months, rumors have been swirling that Swift and Kelce, both 36, will host their hotly anticipated wedding at Ocean House in Watch Hill, just a few minutes' walk from the "Bad Blood" singer's vacation home, with many sources stating that the event is due to take place on June 13.

However, celebrity event planner Tara Guerard, has now set the record straight in an Instagram comment, noting that the Ocean House wedding she is currently preparing for that date does not involve the A-list couple.

"I am the wedding planner for June 13th at the Ocean House in Rhode Island! Sorry to let you all know, Taylor is not my bride this weekend! Boo!" Guerard said in a comment on a post by The Wedding Chicks about Swift and Kelce's alleged wedding plans.

Guerard's comment puts an end to months of speculation about the venue—with reports previously suggesting that Kelce and Swift had pivoted to Ocean House after another potential event space proved to be too small for the event they are planning.

Fans have been clamoring for more information about Swift and Kelce's wedding plans ever since the happy couple announced their engagement at the end of August—with many so-called insiders quickly reporting that the duo were planning for a Rhode Island ceremony.

It was even claimed by several social media users that Swift and Kelce had paid another engaged couple to give up their June 13 booking at a different local venue, known as The Breakers, which is located just a few miles away from Ocean House.

"An East Coast woman was planning on getting married somewhere this coming summer, right?" podcast host Fiona Shea recounted in a video.

"She was reached out to by the establishment where she's having her wedding and they said, 'Hey, would you be willing to actually change the date of your wedding?'

"She said, 'F--k no.' And they said, 'This client is willing to pay for your wedding and honeymoon if you change the date of your wedding, because she needs this.' And this is allegedly Taylor Swift."

Neither Swift nor Kelce have publicly commented on their wedding plans, although Rhode Island has long been known as a place where the pop star heads whenever she needs to decompress—or spend time with her fellow A-listers away from prying eyes.

The songstress has been using her historic Watch Hill abode as a summer retreat ever since she purchased it for $17.75 million in 2013.

It has also become synonymous with her iconic Fourth of July parties, which she has routinely hosted at the property and which have been attended by everyone from Gigi Hadid and Blake Lively to Jason Kelce and Patrick Mahomes.

The residence—which is located in an exclusive enclave in Westerly and is known locally as "Holiday House"—currently sprawls across 11,000 square feet and features seven bedrooms and nine bathrooms.

While it's not thought that the property is big enough to host the hundreds of guests that Swift and Kelce are rumored to be inviting to their nuptials, the home's proximity to Ocean House would certainly have made the resort a convenient venue choice for the duo.

Now however, attention will no doubt turn to the other nearby event spaces large enough—and private enough—to host an event of such significance.

Meanwhile, the only rumor that persists about the couple's nuptials is the alleged date: June 13, which holds particular significance for Swift, who was born on Dec. 13 and has always considered the date her lucky number.

Further fuel was added to this speculation in March when ESPN's Nate Taylor alleged that Kelce and Swift were going to tie the knot "before" the start of the Kansas City Chiefs' training camp, which will likely kick off in July.

Although the Kansas City team has yet to reveal its training camp days, last year's training camp began on July 22.

Taylor made the claim soon after Kelce announced his plans to return to the NFL team for another year, having been dogged by rumors of retirement for months in the lead up to the end of the 2025 season.

During an appearance on Pat McAfee's eponymous talk show, Kelce opened up about what motivated him to sign on with the Chiefs for another year, admitting that he had been considering retirement but felt he needed to "take a step back" before making his choice.

He then praised Swift for helping to give him the motivation he needed to return to the NFL.

"We share the same love for what we do, and we've had this ... desire. I'm still in love with this game," he said.

Kelce added that watching his partner "keep going to the table, keep finding new things to write about, keep finding new melodies ... and on top of that, still seeing her have that love and joy in what she does" helped to motivate him to continue chasing his own dreams.

"Yeah, of course that's motivating," he continued. "That's motivating for anyone to see, let alone my fiancée, and knowing that I'm going through something where I'm trying to figure out what exactly the future holds for me, something like that definitely motivates me to say, 'You know what, I'm not done either.'"
