Olympic gymnast Jordan Chiles is ready to take on a whole new kind of “flipping” when she walks away from her professional sporting career after revealing that she has her sights set on a future in real estate.
The 23-year-old two-time Olympian is currently embroiled in a fierce legal battle over the bronze medal she won on the floor exercise at the Paris 2024 Games after a complaint was lodged by the Romanian team, which saw Chiles stripped of her third-place finish and relegated to fifth position.
In a recent interview on the “Today” show, Chiles, who was born in Oregon but now lives in Texas, admitted that the arduous legal fight had been “very difficult” for her, adding that she finds it “hard to tell yourself everything is going to be fine when we literally didn’t do anything wrong.”
However, while the status of her bronze medal remains unclear, the superstar gymnast is concrete about one aspect of her future: a move into real estate development.
“The future is such a huge word, but there are so many things that you can do within that future,” Chiles said during an appearance at the Teen Vogue Summit on Nov. 23, when asked what lies ahead after her gymnastics career ends. “Whenever that happens, I’m going to go into real estate. I love building. I love being creative. I love seeing things just be designed in different ways. That’s one thing.”

When she is ready to move away from gymnastics and into real estate, Chiles can certainly seek advice from her fellow Olympian Simone Biles, who has been busy building her dream home in Texas with husband Jonathan Owens for more than a year.
Biles, 27, and Owens, 29, purchased a plot of land in early 2023 and broke ground on their custom home in March of that year.
In the months since, the gymnast has been sharing regular updates on the progress being made on the property, which will boast a slew of luxurious amenities, from a stunning lakeside swimming pool to a dedicated pet-washing and feeding area.
Biles’ most recent check-in at the property in October revealed that construction is just a few projects away from being completed, suggesting the duo could well be able to move in before Christmas.
“Updating y’all on my bye week from tour,” Biles wrote on her Instagram Stories while sharing images of the property. “Obviously had to check in on the progress at the new house.”
In a collage of four photos, the 11-time Olympic medalist revealed progress updates on the couple’s lakeside swimming pool, dramatic kitchen, laundry room, and three-door garage.
The photos revealed that the swimming pool’s foundation had been laid, the structure was almost complete, and it just needed an overhaul of the surrounding space—as well as an inaugural fill of water. Meanwhile, the kitchen appeared very close to completion, with Biles revealing that that the pair have opted for dramatic, black-and-white marble for the backsplash and countertops in the space, as well as for the oven hood cover.

A large stove could be seen in place in the room, while the cabinets all had their doors and hardware.
The pair will have plenty of room to wash their respective sports gear courtesy of the four washing machines and dryers that occupy an entire wall in their laundry room, which has also been outfitted with white cabinets and a funky patterned tile.
Finally, the three-door garage got a new lick of paint, leaving the doors and roof black, while the walls are white—suggesting that the duo is going for something of a duochromatic aesthetic throughout the home.
While work on the property is carried out, Biles, who claimed three new medals at the 2024 Paris Olympics, and Owens, who plays for the Chicago Bears, have been living in the Olympian’s home in Spring, TX, which she purchased back in 2020.
Located near her childhood home, the property has four bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms and sits on a spacious 1.02-acre lot, much of which Biles and Owens have taken full advantage of, installing an enormous swimming pool and plenty of outdoor entertaining areas.
It is unclear whether Biles and Owens plan to put that place on the market when they move into their new mansion, or if the athletic power couple want to build a booming property portfolio together.
However, Biles’ homebuying and building experience will no doubt enable her to offer some sage advice to Chiles, who has been close friends and teammates with the gymnastics GOAT since 2018.
Chiles has previously described Biles as being “like a big sister” to her and even moved to Texas to join the gym that Biles’ parents set up several years ago.
Whether she plans to launch her real estate career in the state remains to be seen; however, it’s clear Biles will be an invaluable source of knowledge for her teammate when she’s ready to “flip” into a new career.
