Jeremy Allen White Reveals Secret ‘Obsession’ With Real Estate—Admitting He’s ‘Always on the Realtor App’ Looking at New Homes

"The Bear" star Jeremy Allen White has revealed he is "obsessed" with real estate and regularly spends his free time scrolling on the Realtor.com® app, "fantasizing" about homes he might like to buy.

White, 34, whose most recent on-screen role saw him portraying singing sensation Bruce Springsteen in the movie "Deliver Me From Nowhere," opened up about his secret passion during an appearance on the "Smartless" podcast, which is hosted by actors Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes, and Will Arnett.

Speaking about how he likes to "completely decompress" behind the scenes of his on-screen hits, the actor said he enjoys watching real estate reality TV, particularly Ryan Serhant's "Owning Manhattan," while also perusing properties that he knows he will likely never buy.

"I'm obsessed with reality real estate shows, and I'm, like, always on [the] Realtor app," he said, in what appears to be a reference to the Realtor.com app. "I don't buy anything, but I like to fantasize. I send listings to friends, and they're like, ‘Just buy it then!’"

This "obsession" follows White wherever he goes, with the on-screen star explaining that he regularly scrolls through his app to look at what homes are on the market in whatever locale he is visiting—with some areas proving so alluring, he has actually considered moving there.

He said he often thinks to himself, "What if I got another place here? What if I just, like, would come here all the time?" but notes that he hasn't yet pulled the trigger on purchasing a dwelling in a random area, despite coming very close after falling in love with the tiny Arizona town of Bisbee during a cross-country road trip.

"It's in the middle of nowhere," he explained. "Very small town, but very sweet. We spent the night there at a bed-and-breakfast. [I] got up the next day and was walking around and talking to locals. And, everybody I spoke to—like, nobody was from Bisbee.

Although he did not end up purchasing a property in the town, White admitted that he spent the next six months thinking about it, regularly scrolling through the homes that were available in the area.

When he's not shooting a major on-screen project or scrolling through his favorite real estate app, White engages in another property-focused passion: watching reality TV shows all about—you guessed it—real estate.

He confessed that he has a particular fondness for Netflix hit "Owning Manhattan," explaining that he has a huge amount of respect for Serhant and the business he has built, revealing: "I'm very impressed by that man."

Although much of his house hunting efforts take place on the Realtor.com app, White does sometimes go one step further by touring properties in real life, a hobby he indulged back in September 2024, when he was spotted visiting a listed dwelling in Los Angeles' Studio City neighborhood.

White was seen touring the four-bedroom, four-bathroom abode, which was on the market for $4.8 million at the time, with his co-star and rumored real-life love interest, Molly Gordon.

Built in 1950, the private oasis is nestled on an 18,878-square-foot lot in the coveted area of Fryman Canyon near popular hiking trails.

However, it appears White wasn't overly impressed with what he saw, with records indicating that the dwelling did sell in February of this year, for $4.2 million to a different buyer.

White is understood to split his time between Los Angeles and New York City, having purchased properties in both locales.

In 2023, he revealed to GQ that he was in the process of renovating his longtime California home, a 1920s cottage-style house that he had owned for seven years at the time.

He explained that the overhaul of the property was being carried out "one room at a time," noting that he had already tackled the kitchen—and was aiming to complete work on his primary bathroom and the guest bathroom in 2024 while he was away filming.

Property records show that White purchased a Studio City dwelling for $1.45 million via a trust in 2017, when he was still in a relationship with his ex-wife, Addison Timlin, with whom he shares two daughters: Ezer, 7, and Dolores, 5.

White and Timlin split in 2023; however, the duo continue to co-parent their kids, who are primarily based in Los Angeles.

As for White's New York abode, he purchased a stunning Brooklyn studio in 2014 for $717,500 and appears to still own the dwelling to this day.
