Internet It-Girl Tania Grover Gives Behind-the-Scenes Tour of Elegant Apartment Where She Shoots Her Content

by Kelsi Karruli

Influencers often admit that the picture-perfect image they project on social media is not all it's cracked up to be—but when it comes to online sensation Tania Grover's immaculate apartment, the reality really is as impressive as the illusion.

Best known for her popular “Get Ready With Me” videos, Grover has built a legion of tens of thousands of followers across her social media platforms—all while balancing her online content creation with her day job as a business analyst.

Maintaining that balance, though not always easy, has helped to propel the budding superstar to very impressive heights, leading her to red carpet events, glamorous soirees, and regular appearances on the For You Pages of TikTok users the world over.

But her online career has also seen her personal space undergo something of a transformation into a mixed-use space—serving both as her private sanctuary and her personal film studio.

While her daily rituals remain a priority, Grover’s home is also equipped for the demands of a fast-paced influencer life, whether filming a quick “Outfit of the Day” or heading out to an unexpected fashion event.

The apartment blends contemporary design with personal touches that reflect her journey from content creator to homeowner, including a show-stopping perfume center that houses more than 80 carefully curated scents.

Now, in the latest installment of Celebrity Sanctuary, the social media sensation is opening the doors to the New Jersey-based space behind the screen, revealing the apartment where much of her trend-setting content is filmed—and where her viral videos come to life.

I'm Indian, so no shoes are allowed in my apartment. The way that I grew up, my house had very warm tones. The walls were orange or yellow and the furniture was always brown.

But I wanted something different. And I always see these, like, very minimalistic and white aesthetic homes on social media. And I feel like I was always gravitating towards that.

So there are all white walls, white counters, because I know that’s an aesthetic that I personally love.

My kitchen is where I pretend that I actually cook, but in reality, I don't even know how to use my oven. But, there's a lot of room for storage, which I love.

I have a religious corner in my kitchen that is very important to me. I pray here every day, but right next to it is something that is also very important to me, which is my coffee machine.

Even though I don't often use my kitchen, I do love my living room, especially because it has a minimalist-like vibe.

I rarely have anyone come over to my apartment because I love the peace and quiet. I hate hosting unless it's certain people.

I don't have a TV in my living room because I use the wall as a filming backdrop.

I started posting online when COVID first hit and I'm originally a dancer, so we were just out here posting our dance content on social media, and then brands just randomly started DMing me. And I'm like, "Is this a scam? Like, who are you and why are you in my DMs?"

And then I just went ahead posting all that and that's kind of how I got into my content creator journey.

While daily rituals remain a priority, Grover’s home is also equipped for the demands of a fast-paced influencer life, whether filming a quick “Outfit of the Day” or heading out to an unexpected fashion event. (Realtor.com)

It just started snowballing into like brands, big events, and I love the life that I live now.

I always post at least once a day on every social, but I usually have videos going up a few times a day.

I feel like I'm just editing around the clock. I edit on my commute to New York. I don't know my commute back. I edit on the subway. I edit literally any free chance that I have.

I love to relax on the couch, I usually have my morning coffee or journal there.

Next to my couch, I keep all of my clothes that I have to shoot in or that I will be wearing to an event.

But, the best part is my bedroom, which is my actual sanctuary, and is my favorite room because I love peace and quiet.

I also have all of my perfumes in my bedroom. I have 80 perfumes. Yes, I use them all. Yes, I love each and every single one of them.

I also have multiple drawers filled with makeup and skin care, there's so much, I know, but I need them all.

My vanity is where I do my makeup every morning.

I also have a walk-in closet, which is the only reason why I choose to live in New Jersey.

My bathroom is where I do all my skin prep and all my skin care.
