HGTV Announces New ‘Bachelor’ Collaboration That Will See 12 Former Contestants Renovating Dating Show’s Iconic Mansion
Reality TV fans are about to get the ultimate on-screen collaboration when a group of former "Bachelor" stars turn their talents to home renovations in an HGTV series that will see them overhauling the iconic dating show mansion in California.
A dozen favorites from ABC's "The Bachelor" franchise will trade their roses for hammers in "Bachelor Mansion Takeover," which is due to premiere in 2026 and will see dating show host Jesse Palmer continuing his role as emcee.
The contestants include former stars from across multiple "Bachelor" franchises, including "The Bachelor," "The Bachelorette," "The Golden Bachelor," and "The Golden Bachelorette."
Thus far, Dean Bell, Jill Chin, Noah Erb, Allyshia Gupta, Tammy Ly, Sandra Mason, Sam McKinney, Brendan Morais, Courtney Robertson Preciado, Jeremy Simon, Christopher Stallworth, and Joan Vassos have all been signed up to appear.
And in keeping with the theme of the series, the contestants will be judged on their renovation expertise by fellow "Bachelor" alums Tayshia Adams and Tyler Cameron across the six-episode series.

Each episode will show one of the contestants being eliminated by Cameron—who was a runner-up on Season 15 and was recently recruited by celebrity broker Ryan Serhant as a real estate agent—and Adams—who was a contestant on Season 23 of "The Bachelor" and later become the lead on Season 16 of "The Bachelorette."
The contestants will have to put their renovation skills to the test as they compete for a $100,000 prize.
It is currently unclear whether the contestants will receive any professional guidance from HGTV's lineup of home renovation pros—but it's understood that a great deal of work is required to refresh the iconic dwelling, which is located in Agoura Hills, CA.
“When we learned the Bachelor Mansion needed a serious makeover, we knew only HGTV could give the iconic property a renovation worthy of the name," Howard Lee, chief creative officer of U.S. Networks, Warner Bros. Discovery, said in a press release.
The mansion, which is formally known as Villa de la Vina, has been used as the set of the dating show for years now, despite having been owned by contractor Marshall Haraden for much of that time.
Haraden was approached by ABC before filming began on the 11th season of "The Bachelor," which aired in 2007, and asked whether he would be willing to offer up his home as the set for the project—an offer that he later admitted he couldn't turn down.
Each season, the home undergoes renovations to make sure that it looks its very best, including new paint, updated furniture, and minor repairs—although the HGTV-approved renovations are likely to take things many steps further.
The reveal of the show's contestants comes weeks after "The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives" star Taylor Frankie Paul was named as the Season 22 star of "The Bachelorette"—months after revealing that she was moving out of her Utah home to get a "fresh start."
The 31-year-old mom of three's role at the center of the hit ABC dating show was announced by "Call Her Daddy" podcast host Alex Cooper on Sept. 10, when Paul sat down for an interview about her new venture.

"You are on 'Call Her Daddy' so we can officially announce that you are this season's Bachelorette. How are you feeling?" the host asked the TV personality.
"Surreal. It has not hit me right now in this moment. I'm just thinking about it, and it's not real. And it's not going to be until I think the limo is pulling up, you know? And meeting the people," Paul confessed.
Paul added that she is feeling extremely "nervous" heading into the new season of the dating show.
"How did I get here? In my head, I'm like, 'How is this happening?' That's my answer," she went on.
Paul explained that the idea of her being on the show began as a joke three years ago when she posted about it on TikTok. However, she always assumed it was "unattainable."
"I don't know if that got their attention. ... It was mainly a joke to me. ... Then we had a meeting. I still didn't believe it until I got the invitation, 'Will you be our Bachelorette?' Same reaction, shaking, pacing back and forth. There's no way, no way," she revealed.
The reality TV mogul admitted that she has had some reservations about becoming the Bachelorette—not least the added pressure on her schedule, confirming that she will continue to film "The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives" despite adding another show to her roster.
