EXCLUSIVE: Iconic ‘Jane the Virgin’ Home Hits the Market in Los Angeles for $2.9 Million

by Kelsi Karruli

A picturesque Los Angeles property that took center stage in the hit TV series "Jane the Virgin" has hit the market for $2.89 million—giving one lucky fan the chance to own a piece of Hollywood history.

The dwelling, which served as the family home of Gina Rodriguez's titular character, Jane Villanueva, and her family, will no doubt be instantly recognizable to the most avid watchers of the series, which ran for five seasons between 2014 and 2019, and also starred Justin Baldoni and Andrea Navedo.

Located at 580 North Beachwood Drive, the property is perfectly located between the Larchmont and Hollywood neighborhoods—and sits just one block from the storied Paramount Studios lot.

The home's latest listing, which is held by Kevin Hafezi of Christie’s International Real Estate Southern California, comes less than one year since the TV-famous abode last sold for $1.76 million in October 2025.

The four-bedroom, three-bathroom Spanish-style home offers 2,360 square feet of living space, all of which has undergone a meticulous renovation in the months since it last changed hands.

That remodel not only added a much more modern feel to the dwelling, but also carefully preserved its original 1920s charm, which helped to add a truly authentic touch to the house when it featured as the Villanueva family home.

The single-story dwelling features a number of communal living spaces that have been artfully designed to appear spacious and expansive, including the living room, which boasts enormous windows that fill it with light, and French doors that open up to the quaint garden outside.

There is also a sizable chef's kitchen, which boasts custom dark oak cabinetry, Italian tile, Taj Mahal countertops, and Thermador appliances.

The dining area is the epitome of charm thanks to its modern overhead lighting and ample space.

While each of the four bedrooms offers ample space, the primary bedroom is the undoubted star of the show, with plenty of room for a king-sized bed, as well as a beautifully decorated en suite bathroom, complete with elegant red tile that adds an exotic feel to the space.

Another bathroom boasts a beige background and a large soaking tub.

However, it's likely that the property's exterior will prove to be as great a draw as the interior spaces, thanks to the sizable garden, which features multiple outdoor entertaining spaces, as well as hedges that provide a perfect level of privacy.

"Outside, the home is designed for ideal SoCal indoor-outdoor living, featuring a private European-style courtyard, olive trees, and lush hedging," reads a press release shared with Realtor.com®.

The backyard features several seating areas, making it the perfect place for guests to unwind.

"The property is also within walking distance to Paramount Studios and Larchmont Village’s popular cafés, restaurants, and retail boutiques, and in close proximity to Wilshire Country Club and other media hubs like Netflix," the press release adds.

Hafezi tells Realtor.com® that the home is perfect for buyers that want a "prime location" and modern appeal.

“This home is a standout example of what today’s buyers are seeking in Larchmont at this price point. While it has been fully remodeled to meet modern standards, it thoughtfully preserves the character and charm that define 1920s architecture.

"Its prime location within walking distance of the renowned shops and restaurants of Larchmont Village adds to its appeal, particularly for younger buyers drawn to a vibrant, walkable lifestyle," he says.

Hafezi also notes that he has seen an influx of buyers coming to the area in recent years.

"We’ve seen a noticeable influx of these buyers into the neighborhood in recent years. In fact, I sold a similar property just down the street at 414 North Beachwood Drive last year to a wonderful young couple looking for exactly this type of home.

"That said, this residence offers an even greater sense of character, making it truly special in today’s market," he adds.

While the home remains a strong reminder of the success of the show, which was filmed in Los Angeles, many of its stars have since moved on from the Hollywood hub, with Rodriguez announcing in 2023 that she had relocated her family to Oregon.

Speaking to Glamour, she explained that she and her husband, Joe LoCicero, made the decision to move in the wake of the COVID pandemic—although she admitted that she was initially terrified to leave L.A. because she didn't know what it might mean for her career, even though the couple maintained a property in California.

"It is still terrifying," she shared. "Every time we go [to Oregon], I'm like, “I'm just a phone call away. It's very close to L.A.”

The actress, who shares two children with her spouse and was pregnant with the first at the time of the interview, said that she was hoping to spend more time in Oregon as their family grew, because she wanted her kids to have the chance to be in a natural setting.

"I'm hoping we're able to get up there sooner rather than later because to be in nature…it's so healing and the air is so clean," she said. "There's just something about seeing the deer and the wild turkeys and the elk. It's a different existence.

"Growing up in Chicago and then going to school in New York, it was almost a culture shock. But it's been a dream. It's been a really healing place for me and my husband. I dig it."
