Alex Hall Sets Her Sights on Hollywood: ‘Selling the OC’ Slum Is ‘In Talks’ to Join ‘Selling Sunset’ After Show Axed Multiple Stars
"Selling the OC" star Alex Hall is reportedly planning to jump ship from the hit reality show and swim on over to rival Netflix show "Selling Sunset"—after the streaming giant axed nearly half of its cast.
Reports first emerged earlier this week that Netflix had cut four members of the "Selling Sunset" cast: Mary Bonnet, Emma Hernan, Chelsea Lazkani, and Sofia Vergara's first cousin and adopted sister, Sandra Vergara.
Now, insiders are claiming that Hall, 37, could help to fill at least one of the gaps left behind by those exits, particularly after her own series was cut by the streamer amid disappointing viewer numbers.
Hall has been a fan favorite on "Selling the OC" since 2022, when the show debuted—documenting her rise up through the Oppenheim Group to become one of its most successful agents.
Now, she could take those talents to the agency's Sunset Strip headquarters, with sources telling TMZ that Hall is "in talks" to join the tenth season of "Selling Sunset," the original series in the "Selling" franchise.

According to the outlet, Hall is actively negotiating a deal with Netflix to bring her on as a full-time cast member.
Although Hall resides in Orange County, she often works with many high-end clients in Los Angeles, which is where the show is set—suggesting that she could make a somewhat seamless transition from one series to the other.
The reality star has yet to comment on the claims, however the sources alleged that she could join the cast officially within a matter of days, with filming on the latest season due to begin over the next few weeks.
Realtor.com® has reached out to Hall for comment.
But Hall's alleged casting isn't the only change the series is undergoing—with the news coming just days after reports emerged that Netflix had cut Bonnet, Hernan, Lazkani, and Vergara from its full-time cast.
TMZ claims that the four women were told in April that their contracts would not be renewed, the same months that former "Selling Sunset" stars Christine Quinn and Heather Rae El Moussa confirmed that they are returning to the show after a lengthy absence.
They will join surviving castmembers Bre Tiesi and Amanza Smith, as well as Oppenheim Group founders Jason and Brett Oppenheim.
El Moussa and Quinn's return to the show was announced by the two women on social media at the end of April and came after weeks of speculation about their potential reunion with the Oppenheim brothers.

Quinn announced the news of her return in an Instagram video, telling fans she's "back" before asking if they missed her.
El Moussa also revealed she was coming back to the series with a clip shared to social media. In the video, she picks up a phone call and addresses Jason, telling him: "Jason, it's time. I'm back."
Speaking about her decision to return, El Moussa told Realtor.com® that she felt it was the perfect time to rejoin the cast, particularly now that her son, Tristan, whom she shares with husband Tarek El Moussa, is older and her other business ventures can thrive without her constant attention.
"Honestly, the timing just felt right. I'm in such a different place in my life than when I left—I have Tristan, HRE Beauty is growing, and I feel more grounded than ever," she said.
"When the opportunity came back around, I didn't want to look back and wonder 'what if.' I said yes because I was ready to show up as the version of me I am now, not who I was before."
She confessed that she had been toying with the idea of returning to the hit series, adding that she decided it was time when "everything aligned."
"It was definitely a conversation! I had been thinking about it, and when the discussions started, everything aligned. The show has always been a part of my story," she added.
"Real estate is such a big part of my life, and being able to bring people into that world again, especially now with everything I have going on just made sense. It felt less like going back and more like leveling up."

Speaking about any unresolved drama from her previous stint on the show, El Moussa said, "I'm not going to pretend there aren't dynamics, but I genuinely go into every situation leading with respect. I'm not there to create drama, I'm there to close deals and do good work.
"If tension comes up, I'll handle it like I handle everything—head on and with honesty."
Quinn and El Moussa, who took a four- and three-year break from the show, respectively, told Tudum that things in the Oppenheim office will be different this time around, warning fans to expect a "reintroduction" when the season kicks off.
"This isn’t a rewind. It’s a reintroduction," Quinn said, before opening up about how her return to the show first came about.
"[Creator] Adam DiVello and I reconnected after my divorce, and I really appreciate him extending the invitation to come back on," she shared. "I’m returning from a very different place, with more perspective, confidence, and clarity."
El Moussa echoed her co-star's sentiments, noting that she has changed since the last time viewers saw her on their screens.
“I’ve become a mom, a wife, a business owner, and I finally feel secure enough in who I am to walk back into that world and not lose myself in it,” she explained. “I’m calmer, more grounded, less reactive. I know what I want, and I’m not afraid to say it.”
